Position Summary:

The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Parish Finance Administrator. This role assists the Finance Officer in organizational management by interpreting and utilizing parish managerial accounting and financial information. This position oversees support of parishes through supervising parish audits, developing finance policies, establishing internal controls for parishes, and executing an accounting review program.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the teachings of the Church.

Other Qualifications:

  • Masters of Business Administration degree and/or a Certified Public Accountant or equivalent. Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, business or similar field with experience will be considered.

Chief Financial Officer - Diocese of Salina

Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer directs and oversees all financial activities for a very busy organization. Scope of work has oversight for 86 Catholic parishes, Catholic Charities, the Salina Chancery Finance Office, and 15 schools covering 31 counties in Kansas. This role is responsible for monthly financial reporting, providing expert analysis of reports and data, audits, internal controls, asset management and advising the Bishop in financial matters.

Position Requirements

  • BS Business Administration or Finance (MBA and/or CPA desired).
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expert level skills and experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Able to strike a balance between managing the day-to-day finance function and strategic planning and implementation. Healthcare contract experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience/knowledge of Catholic organizations, non-profits, parish and clergy strongly preferred.
