Leticia Rodriguez

Leticia Rodriguez

Wednesday, General Session XIV

Leticia administers the construction audit function within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston (AGH). The construction audit process is interactive, allowing for an exchange of information and recommendations from participation in various construction meetings as well as observations obtained during audit fieldwork. The Construction Manual has been introduced to the Pastors and their immediate staff during a number of project related meetings. This level of participation permits the construction audit function to develop along with the construction project using a consultative approach to share best practices. Attendance in various meetings include:

  • AGH Building Commission
  • General Contractor interviews at Parish/School
  • Pre-construction Meetings at Parish/School
  • On-going audit fieldwork
  • Construction progress meetings through project close-out

Ms. Rodriguez facilitated the development of the Construction Manual through a collaborative effort from Construction, Finance, Legal, Risk Management and the Vice Chancellor’s offices. As this manual is introduced to the Pastors, we request their feedback for on-going revisions.

After graduating from the University of Houston with a BBA in Accounting, Leticia began her career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) concentrating in the energy and the financial services industries. Her fluency in Spanish led her to many audit assurance engagements throughout Mexico and South America. In her over 27-year career, Leticia has attained extensive experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She has directed all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax and treasury. She has managed the internal and external audit functions and developed the Quality Assurance and Process Improvement function at the Texas Medical Center Corporation.
